Managed to make the cookies, clean up, and eat a few with Steph and Nini all under an hour.
They pronounced the cookies good.
All is well.

Oatmeal Cookies or Essays?

It's Tuesday and I've decided to start a blog. Or rather, avoid writing two research essays that are due next week. As I'm a fourth year English major I should be used to doing research early and drafting an early version at least two weeks prior to the due date, but procrastination is more fun than actually writing. I'll be kicking myself for slacking on the papers this weekend, but at the moment it seems like I've got a pretty good start - both papers (for 19th Century American Lit and Contemporary Canadian Lit) need to be 8 pages long and I've written about 1 1/2 for each. (Please disregard the fact that those 1 1/2 pages are disjointed ideas and quotations which probably will be useful later.)
Anyways, I'm going to try to let some creative and concise points float into my conscious mind while I go bake some oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. Brains need glucose to fuel coherent thought after all!
